TeamForge2Go allows you to review and update your critical project artifacts on Collab.net's industry-leading development platform. The user experience frees developers from their browser and provides easy viewing and immediate access to critical artifacts. The app presents artifact data graphically and textually, making it easy to understand and efficient to update on the smaller form factor. View your artifacts on your terms – search by tracker type, drill down by planning folder, filter by status, sort by data fields. Update standard tracker artifacts details and the custom data fields that power your project’s agile lifecycle. For developers, keep up to date with your project management tasks in the simplest way possible so your screen time can be used for developing software. For project managers, never miss a status change so you stay up to date with your team’s progress and deliver on time. TeamForge2Go works with the API's of your existing TeamForge installation using your existing credentials - whether it is hosted or on-premise.

So what do you need to get started?

• TeamForge Server that is accessible from the public Internet
• Valid TeamForge Account (username & password)
• iOS 5+ or Android 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 (GingerBread) | 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) device.
• Desire to go mobile!

installation

Download and install the client directly from your device's app store - Apple iTunes Appstore or Google Play store. You can search using TeamForge2Go.

setup

After you download the application you need to set a few things up to help you quickly bind to your TeamForge server. A few of these step are First Time Only!, some are optional, some are each time. You can setup multiple profiles - distinct users on one or more servers. See the optional section below on setting up and managing multiple profiles.

Launch the App

You probably already know how to this but just in case ...

Launch the application from your device

Splash screen to let you know things are ok.

First Time Only! Accept the EULA.

Create a Profile & Login

Profiles allow you to have multiple users on a single device. Each user is defined by the a username, servername, and password tuple.

First Time Only! Enter your teamforge username to create a profile. You can add a picture if you want by tapping on the image.

Select the newly created profile to start the login sequence.

Enter your teamforge password and servername.

Heads Up! This is the server name or IP address (and possibly port) that you would use in a browser. For example https://ctf6latest.collab.net becomes ctf6latest.collab.net, https://myserver.mydomain becomes myserver.mydomain, and https://192.168.1.12:8080 becomes 192.168.1.12:8080.

Setup an Offline PIN

Your client supports offline mode. PINS are used to authenticate you in the event you are not connected to server.

First Time Only! Select a 4 digit PIN. Enter it twice.

First Time Only! TeamForge2Go will acknowledge that the new PIN was accepted.

If you ever want to change your PIN or forget your PIN then you can change it from inside the application. Click on Config > Change Pin in the bottom toolbar to complete this process.

Heads Up! You will need to be logged in to the server to complete this action.

Select the Browse Metrics Application

Pick the project you want to explore.

explore by Tracker Type

Explore your artifacts from a tracker perspective.

Select the tracker type you want to explore.

View summary information about the tracker type

List all artifacts of that tracker type and by artifact status and priority.

search with Planning Folders

Drill down into planning folders to get just the information you need.

View summary status information about the planning folder by artifact priority.

List planning folder's artifacts and filter by priority. Click the link to see the actual artifact details.

work with Artifacts

View core artifact metadata including the id, name, type and timestamps.

Click status button up top to update an artifacts state. Once you save the data is pushed to the server.

Add a comment. Use talk-to-text feature if they are available on your device!
